There are many festivals and annual events help in the village. Each region has their own traditional religious and folk dances; these traditions are preserved, performed, and passed on to the next generation. People from Rokkasho and beyond come together to celebrate events such as the Tanoshimube / Let’s enjoy together Festival, the Tomari Grand Festival and the Sangyo / Industry Festival (featuring bare-handed salmon catching as the main event!).
