Crystal Valley Concept is a policy to create an international industrial base in the Mutsu-Ogawara area by developing a concentration of production plants of manufacturers of the FPD (Flat Panel Display) industry, thereby building a base for promoting high technology industries, training technicians and conducting research and development on advanced technologies. Two companies are operating now.
By providing information infrastructure necessary for industry, in addition to high levels of technical skill, nurturing of technical talent, and provision for cutting edge technological research, Rokkasho is working towards developing an international industrial base in this area.
